3 races in the second half of September 2025 brought me 3 more podium finishes: Aspach 10 km 🥇 , Dagersheim 10 km 🥈 , Schurwald (Esslingen) 10 km 🥉
I am grateful for all that is possible. With this I have competed in 20 races since the beginning of 2025, and in all 20 races I finished among the top 3 runners in my category (M50, M55, M4, depending on how the organisers set the rules). That is an average of one race/podium per every 2 weeks.
The Urban Trail du Cannet (UTC) high above the bay of Cannes at the beautiful Côte d’Azur, set in and around the charming „green balcony“ of Le Cannet. The course features all, fast sections, steep sections including stairs upwards and down, tarmac sections, gravel and trail, as well as the narrow streets in the old town maze. Again the crowd were amazing, the event was given high official attention and the ceremony was very enjoyable. Compliments to the organisers and attendees.
And I was very happy to defend my title successfully 🥇🏆. After 2024 in 2025, with an even larger field of participants, a win in the M4M 🇫🇷 (this time combined with the M5M) = M55. Thank you, Le Cannet 🏝️⛰️
La tour de la Gaude („Lou tour de la Gauda“) is always a special race for me. It has a personal meaning, it’s a family event and kindly enough even the retired mayor always makes sure that I sign up.
I ran it with the determination to enjoy it truly, and with family, friends and so many people along the challenging course in the hills of La Gaude that is not a difficult task.
It brought me a 2nd 🥈 in the French M4H = M55 as a tangible result 🏁 which I am proud of among the strong French trailers here, and it gave me tremendous joy. I completed this course in my fastest time so far, with no special explanation why – except the joy. I am grateful.
