Andreas Kadletz Dr. iur. (Heidelberg) LL.M. (McGill)
International Lawyer and manager. Born in 1969. Originally from Germany, he has lived and worked in North America, England and Asia.
Dr. Andreas Kadletz holds a PhD in law (Dr. iur.) of Heidelberg University (Ruperto Carola) in Germany and an LL.M. degree (Dean’s Honor List) of McGill University in Montréal, Canada, where he was also awarded the endowed Institute of Air and Space Law Essay Prize (1996). He served as a correspondent for UNIDROIT Rome.
Dr. Andreas Kadletz participated in Harvard Law School’s Program on Negotiation (Executive Education Program).
His legal works between 1996 and 1999 contributed to shaping the Montreal Convention 1999 as a successor to the Warsaw Convention 1929 in international air transport law. Dr. Kadletz was referenced by the German Federal Government in the context of harmonization of the German Civil Aviation Act with the Montreal Convention 1999 and European aviation laws.
As attorney-at-law he advised and represented in the Concorde air crash matter near Paris 2000 and in the mid-air aircraft collision at Lake Constance 2002. He served as in-house lead counsel in global M&A transactions. As independent attorney he represented (China) government positions in public international law matters.
His professional experience also encompasses the pharmaceutical sector, particularly inhouse with global biopharma operations, the air & space sector and the defense sector.
In 2003 Dr. Andreas Kadletz became General Counsel of the Keiper Recaro Group, of PKG Holding and MP Beteiligungen (investment holding company). He holds these positions until today, through all changes and transformations of corporate structures, name changes and evolvements of the business portfolio.
Dr. Andreas Kadletz has experience as a member of the management boards of various companies in China, Latin America and other countries.
Dr. Andreas Kadletz is a frequent speaker about international topics (establishing cross-border business and managing business abroad, corporate governance) and published numerous articles predominantly about international aviation and business law.
He participated in the Strategic Space Law Course by McGill University and Spectrum Space Security and an update of the Program on Negotiation of Harvard Law School.
Dr. Andreas Kadletz is active in sports and athletics. He was a Bavaria State Champion over the 10 km distance (masters), and at the age of well over 50 years he can still complete marathons in under three hours and finish on podiums. He supports athletics teams and their managements.
